Our Mission

Our Mission

Danville Rotary follows the guiding principles set forth by Rotary International. Rotary seeks to encourage and foster the Ideal of Service through:

  • Networking to find service opportunities
  • The utilization of the highest ethical standards in professional interactions
  • The application of the Ideal of Service in each Rotarian’s personal, business and community life
  • The world fellowship of business and professional people to advance international understanding, goodwill and peace
The late Charles Green, past Rotary president, served as a proud Honor Flight escort of veteran Burdette Allen in September 2015.

We focus our efforts on five Avenues of Service:

  1. Club service – developing a thriving club anchored by strong relationships and active membership
  2. Vocational service – calling on each member to contribute their expertise to the problems and needs of society
  3. Community service – finding ways to improve the quality of life in our community
  4. International service – promoting peace and understanding by sponsoring or volunteering on international projects, seeking partners abroad and more
  5. Youth service – empowering youth and young professionals through leadership development programs
